Today marks the 8 month birthday of my daughter, Adelaide.

Developmental milestones:

• Has two emerging bottom/front teeth
• Recognizes her name when called
• Crawling over small obstacles
• Stands (with assistance) at coffee table, bathtub, etc.
• Feeds herself finger foods like cereal “puffs”

I am a proud father.

I finally had a chance to attend one of the recurring modular synthesizer meet-ups organized by the Trash_Audio duo (Justin McGrath & Surachai) and Xart Studios in Chicago.

Everyone is encouraged (but not necessary) to bring their modular/synth/keyboard/drum machine/etc and allow others an opportunity to play with gear they may not be able to otherwise. It also gives people a local forum to discuss electronic music instruments.

Two words: Modular Madness.

Our little Addie is growing like a weed (3.75 months), she is finally big enough to sit in her mega-rad Bumbo Seat. This thing is awesome. Every time I look at Addie sitting in it, I get the urge to buy a Roomba (vacuum cleaning robot) and attach it to the bottom of the Bumbo Seat. Not only would it be hilarious to watch Addie cruise around the apartment autonomously, the floors are getting cleaned during the laughter. +2!

Don’t let the bottom image fool you – Addie loves her Bumbo SO MUCH it makes her angry.

Just realized today marks the one year anniversary of this blog (version 1.0). It is hard to believe one year has passed so quickly.

Thanks to my wounded knee for giving me LOTS of time to cobble together a blog to showcase my new found interest in photography. I have learned a great deal about photography over the last year, and plan on learning a whole lot more this year.

I’m sad that I didn’t make a cake for my blog, it deserves it. I’ll just have to make two for it next year

This is Erica and Eric; and their three dogs Kodi, Krissy and Godiva.

I photographed them last weekend for their 2008 Christmas card photo.

Up until this photo session, I had only photographed individual pets. Trying to convince three dogs to sit and look at the camera takes Zen-like patience. I have much more respect for pet photographers now.
