Here’s a slideshow of images I shot as second photographer for a recent wedding. Thanks to Kevin Weinstein for graciously allowing me to second shoot.

The ceremony and reception were held in the 39-floor Penthouse, at Hotel 71, Chicago.

The groom, the groom’s family, and apparently all of his friends at the wedding were British; I was constantly being reminded of the 1975 British sitcom Fawlty Towers (starring John Cleese) throughout the day – I watched the entire series a week prior.

Since aquiring a gently used Canon G9 (Thanks to Craig and his list!), I’ve been putting the video function to work and would like to share the fruits of its labor. I will be sprinkling the blog with random video goodies. Enjoy!

In an effort to attend next year’s WPPI convention for FREE, I have posted the first of ten episodes of Ron Dawson’s reaity TV show for and about photographers, The Longest Day.

Ron Dawson also produces a great weekly audio podcast interviewing professional photographers called F-Stop Beyond. I’ve been an avid fan of F-Stop Beyond since its birth and look forward to each Friday when the newest episode is available. That makes me less of a shill, right?

I’m addicted to watching videos produced with tilt-shift lenses. I find it amazing how the use of a tilt-shift lens turns seemingly mundane footage into pure visual gold. This video is extra special to me because I LOVE watching monster trucks. Plus, the music track is mega rad, too!
